Improve Your Golf Swing with the Sensoglove
June 30, 2008 by Brian
I’m not a golfer. I’ve played several long rounds of golf, but according to the folks behind the Sensoglove; maintaining the right pressure grip during your swing is an essential part to having a consistent and good golf game.
The SensoGlove is the first golf glove that has a built-in sensors that constantly monitors the pressure of your grip. By using the SensoGlove while practicing and playing you will learn the correct grip pressure for a smooth, consistent swing that delivers greater distance, enhanced precision and lower scores! At least that is what the manufacturers claim.
How it works
The Sensoglove has four sensors sewn into the glove that monitor and analyzes the grip pressure during the swing. All you have to do is dial in your pressure on a scale of 1-to-18 and swing with any club. The SensoGlove monitors and displays the pressure and warns if you exceed your target level. The display on the glove also shows you which finger needs adjusting. Using the glove you will get real time feedback that should help you improve your swing based on the grip pressure
The Sensoglove retails for around $120

iBert Safe-T Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seat

When I think of children’s bicycle seats, I automatically think of those that you attach to the rear of the bike, behind the riders seat. To me, those don’t seem to be the best because:
1. You have to turn around to check on the child
2. The child only has a great view of your back or they have to lean to see past you.
That’s where the iBert safe-T-seat comes in. This is a front mounted seat that simply attaches to the handle bar stem of your bike. The iBert should fit most bikes as long as there is a minimum of 3/4 inch on the handle bar stem.

Kinetic Dance Charger by Orange

OK, so this is just a prototype, but the concept could lead to real world examples. Orange will be testing their prototype Kinetic Dance Charger at this years Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK. The ideas is to be able to produce and store energy while festival goers dance to the beat.
The prototype Dance Charge weighs in at 180g and measures 4.25×2.5-inches. The unit is worn around the arm (as you would an mp3 player while exercising), as the arm moves the device uses a system of weights and magnets (similar to kinetic watches and flashlights) to create an electrical current that is then used to charge a storage battery. This stored energy can then be used to recharge a mobile phone.
Obviously, this is still in the prototype stage, but if successful, it could easily be used while exercising, walking, running and other outdoor activities.
