iBert Safe-T Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seat

When I think of children’s bicycle seats, I automatically think of those that you attach to the rear of the bike, behind the riders seat. To me, those don’t seem to be the best because:
1. You have to turn around to check on the child
2. The child only has a great view of your back or they have to lean to see past you.

That’s where the iBert safe-T-seat comes in. This is a front mounted seat that simply attaches to the handle bar stem of your bike. The iBert should fit most bikes as long as there is a minimum of 3/4 inch on the handle bar stem.

According to the manufacturers, the mid-mounted seat gives you a better center of gravity and increased mobility for adult rider. The seat comes with a three-point child safety harness and a pivot lap bar.

The iBert-safe-T is designed for children up to 4 years of age and a minimum of 12 months. The maximum height for the child is 42inches and max weight 38lbs.

As you can see from the image above, your child will have a great view of the road a head and you will have a great view of your child.

According to the majority of the reviews on Amazon, the position of the seat does not interfere with the riders legs as they pedal; even if you are very tall.

The iBert T Safe Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seat retails for around $80

I bought this product for my 22 month old son who weighs a little over 29 lbs now. The boy loves the seat and the assembling on the bike is fairly easy. The seat easily comes on and off within 1 minute once the clamp is attached to the handle. The positives on this seat are definitely the fact that the child can see everything rather than looking at the adult’s back. It also allows for close interaction between you and your child as you can speak to them directly and they can look up and see you.

Thank Artyom for taking the time to comment. Glad the seat has worked out for you. It’s one that we are seriously thinking of getting.
