Live Luggage Power Assisted Suitcase Takes the Strain

If you have ever wished that your luggage would wheel itself, then your wish may have come true (at a price). Live Luggage claim to have created the world’s first power assisted suitcase. Yes, a suitcase will propel itself (with your guidance) when the incline is between 15% and 35% (uphill). Not only does this suitcase come with a motor, but the company claims that the “Anti-Gravity handle distributes a major part of the total weight over the powered wheels increasing efficiency and making it much more easily transportable than standard luggage’

The suitcase handle can be adjusted to three different levels to accommodate your height. The power is provided by a rechargeable 12V NiMH battery pack located inside the base of the case. Power is shut off using an override switch so that the suitcase can be safely transported by plane. The rechargeable battery lasts for the equivalent of 1.5 miles or 2.5 hours.

Constructed from PC ABS material and glass filled nylon the case weighs 10.6kg (3kg more than a standard case) and the company claims that 30kg like only 3kg….
