If you need to do some basic photo editing and you don’t have access to software on your computer, then check out the picnik site. I stumbled across this site today and it looks pretty good. It is similar to Adobe Phostoshop Express in that you upload your image and then can perform extensive photo manipulations to obtain your desired result.

picnik online photo editor

picnic is free for the basic package and there is a premium option for $24.99 per year. You can use picnik without registering if you wish. There is no software to download, which means you can use it from any public computer (PC or Mac). I tried the test version (without registering) and the options that were available allow you to do plenty of modifications.

The site interface is very well organized and easy to follow. For every type of manipulation, you have the option to accept or reject. Some of the manipulations that are available are:
Auto-fix
Rotate - allows you to rotate the photo up to 90 degrees left or right and can also be used to straighten a phoro
Crop - you can crop the image manually or using pre-sets
Resize
Exposure
Colors
Sharpen
Red-eye

picnik also gives you several creative options that can be applied to your photo, such as:
Black & White
Sepia
Vignette
Night Vision
Film Grain + many more

You can also add text, shapes, frames, touch up

Once you are finished and happy with the results, just simply save the modified photo.

picnik is compatible with flickr, picasa, facebook, photobucket, myspace, webshots and freewebs.

If you need to do some quick basic photo editing, then check out picnik.

Good luck with the new site and the Google Crawl issues.. You need to update and remove the ‘nofollow’ tags on your pages to get crawled
