This Self-Watering Planter from Brooketone means that you can actually forget to water your plants or even go away on vacation without feeling guilty. The planter comes with a built-in computer that monitors the moisture level of the plant and adds water when the plant is thirsty.
Just fill the reservoir, add your plant and insert the moisture probe. The self-watering planter then checks the soil moisture every 30 minutes and adds water until the soil is moist. The planter works on plant pots up to 10 inches in diameter and runs ob 3 D batteries.
Not sure how long the reservoir will last for, so you will still need to check that it has not run out of water; but it should make watering those plants a little easier.
The Self-Watering Planter retails for around $50
