All New Garmin Orgeon Hand Held GPS Navigators

Garmin have just released information on their new Oregon range of hand held GPS navigators. Available in 3 models (well actually 5 as the 400 model comes in 3 versions), the new Oregon series feature large 3 inch touch screens for user navigation.

All models supports Geocaching.com GPX files for downloading geocaches and details straight to your unit. They also have WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix™ satellite prediction which finds your position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons.

The 5 Garmin Oregon models are:

Orgeon 200 - High-sensitivity GPS receiver, color display, microSD card slot, built-in Worldwide basemap, touchscreen

Orgeon 300 - High-sensitivity GPS receiver, color display, microSD card slot, barometric altimeter, share data wirelessly with other Oregon users, built-in Worldwide basemap with shaded relief, touchscreen

Oregon 400c - High-sensitivity GPS receiver, color display, microSD card slot, barometric altimeter, share data wirelessly with other Oregon users, preloaded maps (BlueChart® g2 coastal charts with limited capability for U.S. and Bahamas), touchscreen

Oregon 400i - High-sensitivity GPS receiver, color display, microSD card slot, barometric altimeter, share data wirelessly with other Oregon users, preloaded maps (U.S. Inland Lakes), touchscreen

Oregon 400t - High-sensitivity GPS receiver, color display, microSD card slot, barometric altimeter, share data wirelessly with other Oregon users, preloaded maps (U.S. topographic), touchscreen

The Garmin Oregon will be available in the 3rd quarter 2008 and you can pre-order at Amazon. Prices range from $450 - $600 depending on model
