Sony MHS-PM1 Webbie HD Camcorder
Sony has just introduced the MHS-PM1 Webbie HD Camcorder. It’s Sony’s answer to the pocket camcorders Flip Mono HD, Creative Vado HD and Kodak Zx1. The PM1 Webbie HD is a candy bar style camcorder with the added bonus of a 270 degree swivel lens; making shooting videos of yourself a breeze.
Video is captured at 1440 x 1080 resolution and the PM1 Webbie HD can also campture 5MP still images. Videos are recorded in High Definition MP4 (H.264) format and stored on Sony’s Memory Stick PRO Duo (sold separately) for easy upload to sites like youtube.
The camcorder also boasts a 1.8inch LCD screen, 4x digital zoom and 10 Different scene selection modes. A 16GB memory stick will hold approximately 340mins of 1080 video or 510mins at the lower 720 resolution.
Measuring in at 0.9 x 4 1/8 x 2 1/4 inch and weighing 3.4oz, the PM1 stacks up pretty well with its competitors.
The Sony PM1 Webbie HD camcorder will retail for around $160
