Canon Unload 10 New Cameras for 2009

If you are in the market for a new camera, then Canon’s latest have just made that list just a little bit longer. The models announced today are scheduled for roll out between March and May 2009 and will be available at Amazon as well as the usual outlets.
Going from cheapest to most expensive, here are the latest Canon models
$130 Canon Powershot A480 - 10 megapixels, 3.3x optical zoom, 2.5 inch LCD display, 15 scene modes, powered by AA batteries
$199 Canon PowerShot A1100 IS - 12.1 megapixel, 4x optical zoom lens, 2.5 inch LCD, powered by AA batteries
$230 Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS - 10 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, 2.5 inch LCD, powered by a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
$249 Canon PowerShot A2100 IS - 12.1 megapixel image sensor, 6x optical zoom lens (this is equivalent to 36 to 216mm), 3.0 inch LCD (no optical viewfinder), powered by AA batteries.
$280 Canon PowerShot SD780 IS - 12.1 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom, 2.5 inch LCD, powered by rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
$330 Canon PowerShot SD960 IS - 12.1 megapixels, 4x optical, 2.8 inch LCD, powered by rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery

The SX1 IS looks just like my Canon S5 IS..wonder what the difference is.

@PixelHead probly the main difference is the SX1 IS is First PowerShot to feature CMOS sensor + it has 10MP rather than 8MP of the S5 IS
